Have you read it all the way? A lot of the appeal is its casual tone. It doesn’t have the uptight feeling that a lot of doomsday novels do. And people love to ship Crowley and Aziraphale.

I’m in the last section right now. And I still feel like I’m waiting for the story to get interesting… =/
